Puppy Socialisation at Puppy Pre-School

Puppy Pre-School at Mercer and Hughes allows your new puppy to begin their puppy socialisation just 1 week after their first vaccination.

The first 12 weeks of a puppy’s life are crucial and the experiences they encounter have a huge impact on their later development. Puppy socialisation classes with our experienced veterinary nurses at Puppy Pre-School gives you the tools to train your puppy and give them the best start in life.

Attending puppy classes on at least two occasions before the dog was 12 weeks of age was associated with a 1.4 times reduced risk of aggression toward unfamiliar people entering the house and a 1.6 times reduced risk of showing aggression to unfamiliar people out of the house.

Puppy Pre-School at Stansted

  • £10 for one session
  • The session runs for 60-90 minutes
  • Puppies must be less than 15 weeks old
  • Puppies can attend 1 week after their first vaccination
  • Receive a welcome pack, a 2kg bag of food, and personalised graduation certificate
  • Children over 12 are welcome (if they are willing to learn too!)

Puppy Pre-School at Dunmow

  • £15 for two sessions (run in consecutive weeks)
  • Each session runs for 45-60 minutes
  • Puppies must be less than 15 weeks old
  • Puppies can attend 1 week after their first vaccination
  • Receive a welcome pack, a 2kg bag of food, and personalised graduation certificate
  • Children over 12 are welcome (if they are willing to learn too!)

Puppy Pre-School at Saffron Walden

  • £15 for three sessions (run in consecutive weeks)

Thoroughly Enjoyable

Ruby and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Jackie and all the puppies. It was great to have access to all of her experience with puppies and have our questions answered too. Needless to say, it was lovely to have the goody bag as well. Ruby is as I type careering round the room with her new toy.

Enormously Informative and Very Helpful

We found the puppy party enormously informative and very helpful to share experiences with other people with new puppies. Jackie was an absolute inspiration and she is the right sort of person to present these classes. She put us all at ease (puppies too) answered all our questions and delivered everything with obvious knowledge and a lovely sense of humour. We also thought that the 2 classes were fantastic value for money! We would definitely recommend other people with new puppies to attend.
